WPRA is a group of currently and formerly incarcerated women who are committed to using their experience to effect change for women in the most broken system in this country.
Our History
Our history as an alliance is short but our story is one of mass incarceration that has been perpetuated for decades. When it comes to incarceration, women DO need to be treated differently - our future generations depend on it.
Our Mission
WPRA is a grassroots movement that wants justice for women who find themselves lost in the prison industrial complex. Through advocacy, activism and legislative reform we are a conspiracy for change.
